Kintail to Kinloch Hourne  - Easter 2013
We canoed from Kintail at the head of Loch Duich, down the loch to Dornie and Castle Donan and thence to Kyle Rea, the channel between Skye and the mainland. The tide here flows at up to 10 knots.  We called in at Glenelg and camped there moving on to Loch Hourne via the Sandaig Islands.  What a beautiful spot - and only really accessible by boat. we then paddled up Loch Hourne, via Barrisdale to Kinloch Hourne and then retraced our course to Kintail.  As we had a day spare, we went for a days paddle on Loch Garry - a beautiful spring day with glorious reflections.  Another great trip!  I repeated this trip in the summer of 2013 with a Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition from Kings, Ely and have also paddled it with Renee and the dog - although Scruffy was seasick in Glenelg Bay!.
